The main hotel of MGM Resorts International, also the site of company headquarters,hotel Bellagio has been opened in 1998, at that time as the most expensive hotel in the world.
It is named and modelled after Lake Como resort Bellagio in Italy, featuring the Italian-style small houses along the big surface of 8-acre (3.2 ha) lake. The main hotel building is located behind the lake, with casino on the bottom level surrounded by the gallery of boutiques shops known as Via Bellagio.

Between the building and the Strip there are famous music Fountains of Bellagio with the show performed every half an hour, during which colorful lights and the stream pressure change according to the background songs by Gene Kelly,Andrea Bocelli or Frank Sinatra. The water theme of the resort nicely corresponds with the main concept of the aquatic show by Cirque du Soleil -”O”.
Another popular symbol of Bellagio resort are its Conservatory and Botanical Garden.
